FERNANDO LUZIO is a Consultant, Strategic Mentor, Writer and Speaker:

Author of 2 books on Strategy, he was Professor of Business Strategy on the MBA course at the University of São Paulo (FIA-USP) from 1999 to 2017, and was an article writer for the Harvard Business Review.

 

He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (EAESP-FGV), with several postgraduate Executive Education courses (in person) in Strategy from the London Business School and Harvard Business School | Graduated from the 28th IBGC Board Member Training Class.

As head of Luzio Consultoria, he has advised companies from various sectors on Strategic Planning, in Brazil and abroad, such as: Avon, Bradesco, Brasil Telecom, Casa&Video, Caterpillar / Sotreq Group, EcoRodovias, Rhodia, Klabin, Norske Skog, Richards and Bematech. As Brazil Director of Archetype Discoveries Worldwide, Fernando has led cultural code discovery projects in Brazil and abroad for companies such as Citrosuco, Colgate-Palmolive, Boeing and Fox Television. 

 

In a Turnaround Project led by Luzio, Fernando took over the Executive Presidency of Casa&Video in December 2008, for 330 days, with the mission of controlling its economic-financial and institutional crises, restructuring and rebuilding the company, ensuring the resumption of its growth. He stepped down after the Group stabilized and the Judicial Recovery Plan was approved at the Creditors' Meeting. Casa&Video is one of the largest retail chains in Brazil - when Fernando took over the company, its turnover had exceeded R$1.9 billion, with more than 6,800 employees and 88 stores in Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais.
